How often should I clean my dryer vent?
Once a year for most homes; every 6–9 months if you do heavy laundry, have pets, or have a long vent run. Commercial and shared-laundry dryers usually need it every 3–6 months.
What are the signs of a clogged dryer vent?
Clothes taking multiple cycles to dry, a hot dryer or laundry room, a burning or musty smell, weak airflow at the outside vent, and visible lint around the vent opening.
Why is a clogged dryer vent dangerous?
Lint is highly flammable, and a blocked vent traps heat. That combination is the leading cause of home clothes-dryer fires. Regular cleaning removes the fuel and restores safe airflow.

How long does the service take?

Do you clean the lint screen too, or just the vent?
We focus on the vent duct — the part you can't reach — from the dryer connection to the exterior hood. Cleaning the lint screen after every load is something you should keep doing yourself.
Can a dirty vent cause my dryer to break?
Yes. Restricted airflow makes the dryer overheat and work harder, which wears out parts and shortens its life. Keeping the vent clear is one of the best ways to protect the appliance.
